A crowd funding program launched by JSBC and the provincial women’s federation has helped to make true the dream of attending schools for the needy students in northwest China’s Qinghai province and the underdeveloped regions of Jiangsu province over the past two months.
The news media center of JSBS teamed up with the provincial women’s federation last June to launch a crowd funding program for needy students in Qinghai and the underdeveloped regions of north Jiangsu.
JSBC staff reporters have visited the homes of the needy students in Qinghai and north Jiangsu to record their life, which has caused a lot of publicconcern.
The two-month-period saw 1.47 million yuan donated online and offline. The beneficiaries include 1922 needy students in north Jiangsu and Qinghai.
450 primary school students were given grant-in-aid for three consecutive years.
