The Nanjing concert of the international young artists festival, which is also known as iSING, was heldat Jiangsu center for the performing arts last night. Dozens of young opera singers from 15 countries have performed classic western operas as well as Chinese operas and folk songs. Take a look!
As part of the iSING Suzhou festival, the Nanjing concert brought all the young opera singers to the capital of Jiangsu two days after its closing ceremony. Some even arrived at Nanjing hours before the opening.

One of the highlights last night was the performance of Chinese operas and Chinese folk songs by foreign singers. American soprano Penelope Makeigshared her experience of learning Chinese folk songs.

The iSING festival is the first international vocal arts festival on the Chinese mainland. The young singers gathered in Suzhou for a one-month training session, learning new songs, music theory, singing skills and performance techniques.
