Suzhou retained its crown as the most liveable city in China for the second straight year, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit’s world’s most liveable cities ranking released on August 16.
The world’s most liveable cities report, published twice a year, is based on a city's stability, health level, culture and environment, education and infrastructure.
Melbourne for the seventh consecutive year was ranked as the world's most liveable city. In the Chinese mainland, Suzhou, with 72nd spot, beat Beijing to 73rd rank.
