The public security bureau of Wuxi has promoted an electronic car log, which is to become the basis for the Internet of Vehicles.
Installed on 40000 vehicles in the city, the logo is able to acquire transportation big data to help with traffic monitoring, traffic inspection and control and transportation information service to bolster urban traffic management and improve people-friendly services.
Vehicle owners can also have the logo bound with their bank cars and online payment tools so as to gain easy access to paying traffic violation penalties, highway tolls and intelligent car wash.
Over the past year, Alibaba and Huawei have forged partnership programs with the municipal government of Wuxi on the launch of major IoT projects.
The city is now undertaking 17 large IoT applications projects. The enterprises in Wuxi have inked cooperation agreement with 400 cities in over 30 countries and regions on IoTapplications.
