L’Institut Superieur des Arts Appliques (LISAA), one of the leading arts and design academies in France, will open a branch in Gusu District next month. It will be LISAA’s eighth school in the world.
The new school will enroll high school graduates who love visual art and design and offer four majors, dynamic design, fashion design, animation design for electronic games, and interior design.
LISAA will offer outstanding students an annual scholarship up to 100,000 yuan (US$15,000) each person. It will also set up a special fund for students whose parent or grandparent is a certified inheritor of intangible cultural heritages.
Gusu officials said the district will establish a Sino-French cultural and creative center in cooperation with Galileo-Studialis, an international education group, in an effort to make Gusu a creative and art education center.
