Li Qiang, secretary of Jiangsu CPC Committee, met with Daniela Rus, academician of the US National Academy of Engineering (NAE), professor at MIT and director of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL), in Nanjing on July 28.
Li Qiang told Rus that with a solid manufacturing foundation and a large base of scientific and educational talents, Jiangsu province has a sound R&D and industrial foundation for AI development as well as a broad market prospect. He hoped Jiangsu and MIT can increase cooperation in AI based on the existing foundation and in a broader range of fields for complementary and win-win development.
After introducing AI research, Rus said MIT attached great importance to cooperating with Jiangsu in industrial technologies. The AI Lab will fully exert its advantages and deepen the cooperation with Jiangsu to help AI results better serve the human life and production.
