The Huai'an leg of the Root-seeking Summer Camp in China, a summer camp for overseas ethnic Chinese teenagers, kicked off on July 20.
The summer camp series is sponsored by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office at all levels in Jiangsu province.
During the eight-day camp in Huai'an, more than 50 overseas ethnic Chinese teenagers from the US, Canada and other countries will learn about traditional Chinese culture, understand the living conditions of ordinary Chinese families, experience the cultural heritage of Qingjiangpu and traditional Chinese culture along with young volunteers from Qingjiang Middle School.
