  • After 12 years of efforts, a team led by Professor Hou Xilin at the College of Horticulture, Nanjing Agricultural University, developed the yellow-green Chinese cabbage, which is smaller in size, rose-shaped and tastes sweet. With 156 mg of vitamin C per 100 grams of fresh weight, it has a high nutritional value and also can withstand low temperatures of minus 9.6 degrees centigrade.Source: jschina.com.cn
  • The new breed has been grown at several sites including the Nanjing Agricultural University base at the Jiangsu Agricultural Expo Park, Wuxi Precision Vegetables Park, Yancheng Yelvfangdi Vegetables Family Farm, and Yuye Vegetables Base, which is also home to Kunshan Vegetables Research Institution of Nanjing Agricultural University.
