  • The Hutong Yangtze River Bridge, under construction, installed the first stayed cable which ran from the bridge’s south main tower to the deck on the early morning of March 11. This was the first time in China’s history of building road-rail, cable-stayed bridge as the girder is also under installment. The 2,300-meter main channel bridge has two towers and 5 spans, with a main span of 1,092 meters. There are 72 pairs of stayed-cables, split equally to link the two towers with the deck.
