Jiangsu Suning became the last team to qualify for the semifinals of the 2020 Chinese Super League, as Ivan Santini's goal was enough to beat Chongqing Lifan 1-0 here on Saturday and 2-1 on aggregate.

Both sides had shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw in the first leg, and with Alex Teixeira suspended for Saturday's match, Eder Martins partnered Santini up front, while Alan Kardec led Chongqing's forward line.

Jiangsu dominated from the start and broke the deadlock in the seventh minute through a counter-attack, as Eder whipped in a cross from the left for Santini to chest down and smash in a left-footed volley.

Jiangsu continued its forward momentum as Wu Xi's long-range effort was parried away, before Luo Jing flashed a shot across the face of goal.

Yang Shuai of Chongqing had the ball in the net minutes into the second half, but it was ruled out for offside.

Chongqing went down to ten men in the 56th minute after Jiang Zhe received his marching order for an elbow on Santini.

Jiangsu had two goals disallowed later on, as efforts from Eder and Santini were both ruled out for offside.

Jiangsu will now take on Shanghai SIPG, while Guangzhou Evergrande is to face Beijing Guoan in the other semifinal.
