Lou Qinjian, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, called for further efforts to improve ecological environment by following the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era and the Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization so as to improve the ability of ecological environment governance and promote the construction of a beautiful Jiangsu.
During his inspection tour in the Provincial Atmospheric Environmental Monitoring Multi-parameter Station and the National Key Laboratory of Organic Pollutant Monitoring and Analysis, Lou Qinjian made inquiry into various types of advanced online monitoring equipment, the construction of three-dimensional monitoring capacity of the atmospheric environment and the monitoring of the atmospheric environment in Jiangsu in recent years.
He spoke highly of the important role of environmental monitoring in Jiangsu's ecological environment governance, and encouraged the monitoring center to give full play to the role of authoritative monitoring institutions and research platforms, strengthen scientific research innovation and cross-disciplinary innovation, and gather and train top talents in the field of environmental protection research.
When inspecting the provincial office for pollution control, the CPC provincial chief was briefed on the protruding problems in the regulation of environmental protection and the restoration of the ecology along the Yangtze.
Noting that efforts have been made in the promotion of pollution control, Lou Qinjian stressed that problems must be rectified and resolved on the basis of seeking truth from facts so as to make further consolidation.
He also watched a live demonstration of the Jiangsu ecological environment big data platform and extended his greetings to the law enforcement agents carrying out supervisions at an enterprise in the Nanjing Chemical Industry Park.
At a symposium held during the inspection tour, Lou Qinjian was briefed on the progress Jiangsu has made in recent years in the conservation of the ecosystem and spoke highly of the contribution the ecological environment department has made to the high-quality development of Jiangsu.
The CPC provincial secretary remarked that since the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, under the guidance of the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, Jiangsu has strengthened its consciousness and reached broad consensus on the construction of ecological civilization, solved the outstanding problems in the protection of the ecological environment, and made breakthrough progress and global changes in the construction of ecological civilization.
Lou Qinjian pointed out that the construction of ecological civilization has been integrated into all aspects of economic and social development, and profound changes have taken place in the characteristics of the ecological environment.
Lou demanded further efforts to study and implement the Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization and his important instructions for the work of Jiangsu, and promote the construction of a beautiful Jiangsu as a strategic task that concerns the overall situation in accordance with the policies of the provincial party committee and the provincial government so as to strengthen the planning and construction of urban and rural infrastructures for ecological and environmental protection.
