East China’s Jiangsu province will make unremitting efforts to boost agricultural production in the spring season, according to a meeting held Tuesday afternoon in Nanjing in the wake of a national teleconference on agricultural production in the spring season.
The participants studied the requirements made by CPC Provincial Party chief Lou Qinjian and instructions made by Provincial Governor Wu Zhenglong on the resumption of work and production and the fight against the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak in the rural areas.
Zhao Shiyong, vice governor of Jiangsu, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.
Relevant departments should adhere to the guidance of the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era so as to unswervingly step up the epidemic prevention and control in the rural areas and take effective measures to accelerate the development of agriculture and rural affairs, according to the meeting.
The meeting urged the province to study and implement the important instructions made by General Secretary Xi Jinping on the work related to agriculture, rural affairs and farmers from the political height of strengthening the four consciousnesses and the four self-confidences, safeguarding the authority of the CPC Central Committee and getting united around the centralized and unified leadership the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core.
