A police station in Nanjing, Jiangsu province recently invited a group of international students from surrounding universities for a day-long visit. The group consisted of students who decided not to return home over the winter holiday.
The six students were introduced to the station's command room, tried on police protective gear, learned about foreign-related laws and regulations, and used their language skills to help solve foreign-related problems encountered by the police.
They also made Chinese New Year decorations such as spring couplets and window paper-cuts.
The police station is located adjacent to the Nanjing-Shanghai intercity high-speed railway and Xianlin University Town.
