Suning Holdings Co. Ltd and Hongdou Holdings Co Ltd, two leading private groups in Jiangsu, have donated 100 million yuan for poverty alleviation in Jiangsu. The donation ceremony was held Sunday morning in Nanjing. Zhang Jindong, chairman of Suning, and Zhou Haijiang, chairman of Hongdou, made the donation to the fund to help with the targeted poverty alleviation by the private sector. The fund was set up by the Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce with a view to further increasing the capital investment in the industrial poverty alleviation and the east-west poverty alleviation cooperation projects in underdeveloped areas so as to improve the industrial poverty alleviation efficiency.
