Four students from Pingjiang New City Primary School returned to Suzhou on Monday after winning a fourth place in an international robot contest in Finland.
It’s the first time for Chinese primary students to win the medal.
Under the guidance of teachers, the four students wrote programs and made a robot to park cars automatically to solve parking difficulties in limited space such as the old city area in Suzhou.
More than 500 teams from over 50 nations joined the international robot contest in Finland. And the top 10 winning teams will be able to join the final of an international STEM education contest in Finland.
STEM refers to science, technology, engineering and math.
